Super Duper Publications has produced an interactive CD-ROM to help early childhood students practice and learn to answer "WH" questions (who, what, where, when, and why).The program, called Webber Interactive "WH" Questions Level 1: Sentence-Based Activities allows young students to answer questions about hearing and/or reading a sentence.It allows students to practice on each type of question individually as well as mixed practice.The teacher can change the level of difficulty to include having the sentence read to the student or not, having two answer choices or four, and having sample questions to practice before beginning the session.The teacher can track the student progress with printable records.
The CD-Rom is easily installed by placing the disc in the CD-ROM drive and following the on screen instructions.The graphics are fun and colorful, very appealing to young students.Students will find it easy to navigate through the program with simple point and click options.
All in all, this program is a great way for students to practice answering "WH" questions individually causing language and vocabulary development.Many hours will be spent by students participating in the 375 questions/answer activities.Teachers can use this program as a whole class instructional activity or in a center situation, both of which will stimulate students and cause them to want to participate.

Super Duper Publications has produced an interactive CD-ROM to help early childhood students practice and learn to answer "WH" questions (who, what, where, when, and why).The program, called Webber Interactive "WH" Questions Level 2: Story-Based Activities allows young students to answer questions about hearing and/or reading a story.It allows students to practice on each type of question individually as well as mixed practice.The teacher can change the level of difficulty to include having the story read to the student or not, having two answer choices or four, and having sample questions to practice before beginning the session.The teacher can track the student progress with printable records.Students can also build stories by listening to the 24 stories and answering the questions with five answer choices, increasing the difficulty level yet again.Students can participate in an interview, giving personal information, after which a book called "All About Me" is created about them.The students can then print the book to read at a later date.
