Former Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will be joining the ranks of the Hoover Institution as a distinguished visiting fellow, the University announced Friday afternoon.

NEWS| An increasing number of high-caliber schools are pushing for socioeconomic diversity in admissions — not just by boosting financial aid incentives, but also by taking students’ backgrounds into account when making admissions decisions.
Hoover Institution research fellow Williamson “Bill” Evers ‘72 has been nominated for a job as assistant secretary of education by President George W. Bush.
The most imposing of several hurdles on the way to a Ph.D. degree, the Stanford EE department’s controversial qualifying exams are known as one of the most intimidating selection processes in the country.
