In addition to being one of the oldest universities in the country, a member of the Association of American Universities and a U.S. News and World Report Top 100 University, Rutgers put its name on the list of schools reaccredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Student Public Interest Research Group Chapters announced Tuesday they have secured signatures from 1,000 professors across the country on a statement supporting free online textbooks known as open textbooks.
