Kota Kinabalu: Schools reopen tomorrow (Wednesday) but some parents are wondering why they still have to buy textbooks when the Government had already announced it will be given free to students.

Kota Kinabalu: CM Datuk Seri Musa assured Chinese independent schools in Sabah that the State Government will continue to support them. The Government, as usual, would provide annual allocation to the schools but they must submit their applications early.

Kota Kinabalu: The deadline for application of State government grants for Chinese schools and non-Islamic religious organizations in the State has been extended to July 6, 2007. Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister's Department Datuk Edward Khoo announced this after chairing the maiden meeting of the State government Grants Sub-Committee for this year, held at the Ministry of Finance.
